Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Baristas to join our team and provide exceptional coffee and beverage service to our guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages, as well as providing friendly and efficient customer service.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and engage with them in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, using POS systems or order forms
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure that all beverages are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards
- Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Process payments, handle cash transactions, and reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift
- Provide recommendations and suggestions to customers based on their preferences and menu offerings
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and special promotions to effectively upsell and cross-sell to customers
- Collaborate with other team members and management to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of coffee brewing methods
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
