Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking Fruit Pickers to join various team and assist with the harvest of various fruits on our farm. As a Fruit Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our fruit harvest while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Following proper picking techniques and guidelines in harvesting of ripe fruits by hand
- Sort and separate fruits according to size, color, and quality standards
- Remove any damaged or diseased fruits to ensure only the highest quality produce is collected
- Work efficiently to meet daily production targets while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the field
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate work activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including packing and storage areas
- Adhere to farm policies and procedures related to fruit picking and handling
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physical stamina and endurance to stand, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Basic understanding of fruit varieties and ripeness indicators preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation to and from the farm
Desired Skills
- Experience in agriculture or farm work is a plus but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Team player with good communication skills
